Probing says the machine was not yet homed!

Postby zymurgy42 » Sat Sep 14, 2019 7:36 am

Version 1.2111
UC100
A Axis slaved to X, all axis have sensors for homing.

Can run machine OK. When I home ALL, I get the GREEN indicator on each axis.

Yet when I try to probe (I am trying to understand this added feature), I get the message "the machine was not yet homed!"

Same thing happened to me. My A axis is slaved to my Y axis. To fix it, after homing my Y axis, when the Y axis is at the home position, hit the home button for the A axis. UCCNC will then see
That all enabled axis' are homed and probing will work.

Check your homing sequence and remove any axis which is not in use.

Homing sequence has laways been 1.Z, 2.X and then 3.Y.
For 4, 5 and 6 NONE.

Learning from 1Jumper10, I selected HOME A, indicator turned GREEN and Probing was successful.

Something needs my Slave axis home LED to be active.

No problem with the homing sequence. When I wrote the probe screen I didn't think of slaved axes. If an axis is slave then only the master's home LED will go on, so I had to make some changes to the check of the home state. The next version will work well with slaved axes.
