Your probe, what is it?

When you say it fails how does it fail, does it not start probing, does it not stop?

Is it a touchoff (tool length offset) probe

Or is it a touch probe?

Could you post your profile again please

I don't have a ucr201, but I think I remember reading it has frequencies for different parts of the world (it's to do with free bands or allowable bandwidths... I forget the terminology)... Have you tried another frequency.... What exactly is your setup on the ucr201... Have you checked both frequencies align in the pendant and plugin... Have you tried switching to a different frequency (or continent setting.... Just to test and rule things out)?

Jan, when you load the ucr201 plugin what is the signal strength bar like ..... Looking in the pendant manual seems to indicate that there is a signal strength indication

I don't think so or maybe, but there was no mention of an exception message in this thread.
The exception is thrown is a runtime error, an exception happening in the macro. It can be a division by zero or something like that happening.
Unfortunately the error message text can't be read on the video, it is too blurry. :(

I don't think this is PillyWilly's problem. I think he was getting broken tools from crashing into the plate. This video may be due to the two plugins??

That's from the 2017 Screenset macro, and should be displayed after probing, with the macro ending without retracting. The macro ends with the Message Box, so the movement up is not from the macro
Also, UCCNC is reporting the probe is active, when it's clearly not.
But again, I think this video was from the two plugins??

I have described the behaviour several times, but I will do once again.

1. I click the "Auto Zero" button at the Run screen.
2. here I see three scenarioes. as follows:

1. UCCNC zeroes the tool to my set probe height, at the correct speed, all is good. (1 out af 50 times).
2. UCCNC start zeroing the tool, at the correct feed, hits the probe, retracts the set distance, but then plungches at high speed into the probe, breaking or damaging the tool.
3. UCCNC starts the zeroing at full speed towards the probe, and I usually can hit the emergency stop button.

The behaviour is different when using "Auto Zero Initialize" the my mashine reacts as in the youtube video you are linking to.

Probe is this one. https://www.sorotec.de/shop/Z-Finder-Induktiv-NPN----ffner-inkl--Halter-6863.html

There are more frequencies to choose from, I use the default one, but I will gladly shift to another.

Regards
Jan
