Keith, I didn't think about adjusting the air pressure, I know the 65, 85 and 105 and maybe the 45xp can adjust the pressure.... Looking into it they use an adjustable SMC pwm pneumatic regulator.

I've found a cheap 0-10v pneumatic regulator... May give it a go

That's half the battle solved if you've found a cheap regulator. I did a quick Google and an adjustable SMC regulator came up with a price of $400.

Got a link ?? or is it a one-off on Ebay or something.

eBay auction number 233125518398

That is a 0-10v input one, I just picked up a 4-20mA one for same money, there is a few in the USA but shipping plus duty is a killer for me sometimes.

They don't come with the connector, but I have a plan.... Rs components want another £30.... Again cheaper ones in the us as I know you are down under.

This is the SMC one hypertherm use but I am not sure about exactly how it is controlled (I couldn't find a cheap one ... Hence the SMC ITV1050 one

You can just make out the part numbers if you zoom in
