AXBB controller power supplies qustion

Hi Balazs
Could you reccomend the current ratings suitable for the AXBB ethernet controller. I noticed that 500 ma was mentioned in the manual for the 5 volt supply as a minimum. There was no mention of the current requirements of the 24 volt supply. Maybe you culd list some minimum maximum values for the current requirements of the power supply the manual is a bit vague. Thanks in advance.

I think you are going to struggle for a definitive answer, given there are 7 isolated outputs, each of which can drive 500mA at 24v depending upon what you connect to them and you have 6 isolated inputs that can require 10mA if they are all toggled high at the same time plus if your other connected components require 24v too....

I would have guessed a couple of amps would probably be fine for most situations....

And once you've selected a 24v smps the the cost of a 50w (2a), 100w (4a) or 150w (6a) power supply is going to be relatively negligible.

A 4a one will probably suit most people's usage
