UB1 cables recommendation

Postby ronenbu » Sat Aug 11, 2018 6:26 am

Hi all, first post here :) just purchased the UC300ETH-UB1 for my CNC router build, so far extremely impressed with the UCCNC software and the hardware itself! quick question to whoever has the same board already wired up. As the connectors are not the normal screw type terminals, but a spring based one, I've been using (for bench testing purposes) breadboard jumper pin cables (similar to something like https://www.amazon.com/Elegoo-EL-CP-004 ... B01EV70C78) for connecting the stepper drivers signals connectors (step/dir), as they have rigid pin that can be relatively easily pushed inserted into the UB1 connectors. however, I fear that they are too thin, or not insulated enough and could create noise... having a thicker wire without a rigid pin makes it almost impossible to push into the connector somehow...

Any recommendations?

Best,

I like 20 gauge wires with ferrules like these. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00UL ... UTF8&psc=1

These are the largest that will fit, and are a tight fit, but I like them better than smaller wires, which feel a little loose to me.
