New and first spindle on the way!

Hi Guys, so I'm finally getting a spindle and was just wondering if it can be controlled through uccnc and the ub1 300eth or do you still need the usb connection? If I still do need the usb connection does anyone have a link to the right one....Thanks Guys!!

Yes, you can control a VFD/Spindle with relays and speed control on the UB-1.

However, if it's a Huanyang VFD, many people, myself included, have found that the rpm is not steady using analog spindle control. YMMV.
So I use Dan's Huanyang Plugin to control the rpm, but still use the UB-1 to start and stop the spindle.

For anyone using the 2017 Screenset, the RPM field needs to be changed to 2451 for Dan's plugin to work correctly.
