Very Nice Battwell, I like it :)

What kind of spindle is on there, and how would you rate it for function/noise/vibration, etc? (assuming you have been able to put some run time on it).

I've not been able to convince myself that I should buy ATC spindle yet, mainly since there isn't much for 'reviews' out there on some of the spindles available on the market, and those that do have reviews or brand names are more than I'm willing to spend on yet.

regards,
Eric

It’s a hqd 6kw air cooled ( 24v seperate fan)
Has the locked and In position sensors.
They run extremely quiet and perfectly balanced .
These are a direct copy of hsd. Which are the market leader.
Hqd are used on most Chinese machines.
It’s 24000 rpm rated , ceramic bearings,
4 pole . Requires 800hz vfd .
This one is 220 v for single phase use.
Annoying that most vfds that can run this frequency on single phase will not use the brake resistor.
You have to use dc braking feature of the vfd instead .
Have a listen !

Looks a lot like our new Morbidelli X200. Nice job.
