AvB projects

Hi - I saw this forum section for posting stuff we've made, so I thought I'd post some pictures. I am not an experienced CNC machinist. I bought my mill about 5 years ago, to produce model aircraft moulds. A bunch of us have been heavily into slope soaring and dynamic soaring gliders. We got into building our own planes and making moulds, and eventually we wanted to get CNC cut moulds. It was impossible to find anyone to cut moulds for us at a reasonable price so after several years I had a mid life crisis and instead of buying a new car I bought a CNC machine. Mostly we cut the moulds out of acrylic based solid benchtop material such as Corian. We want very high accuracy of the aerofoil shape, and very sharp corners particularly in the leading edges.

Hey how do you edit your posts? I can't see an edit button anywhere. Thanks.

Editing is only possible until somebody posts, otherwise if you could change your posts even after somebody replied then the answer posts and the discussion could loose their meanings.

Ah, so that's how it works. I thought it was simply a timeout, but the above makes a lot more sense. I'll be more careful now before I click the "submit" button because someone could post immediately after I post, and many times I read my post after submitting and realise a typo, or want to add something, etc. Just did it with this one

No, that's incorrect - it doesn't allow editing even immediately after posting, before anyone else has posted.

I started this new thread and wanted to edit it immediately but there's no option to edit.

Maybe there is also a time limit, I'm not sure.

There is a 30 minutes limit set to edit or delete you own post.

Unfortunately this wasn't working. I tried to edit immediately after posting. I will try again with this reply.
