Hi all,

I need some help. Im a total electronic newbie. What I would do is this:

Im building a co2 laser cutter 80w. Almost done ;) .
But now I can only controlling this with the laser controller that I build in. AWC708

So I tought its maybe possible to switch between controller or breakoutboard and UC400.

(correct me if Im wrong)

So I already found that I need a multiplexer 16 channel.

But can someone direct me in the right direction.... What multiplexer maybe something already made, Or even maybe somebody who want to make one for me

So if someone is interested please let me know. So we can talk about. (I ll pay offcourse)

THX
Koen

1) Why do you need a AWC708?

http://www.sztrocen.com/download/docume ... ser-manual

Looking at the instruction manuals, the AWC708 is essentially a stand alone motion controller which has it's own interface

I would just buy a UC300ETH and wire it up for PWM control of the laser via M10 Pxxx and M11 to control the lasers power via uccnc software.

2) why do you want or need a multiplexer arrangement?

Hi Rob

Thx for your reply.

Ask 1:

I already bought the AWC708 but it not that customer friendly as I tought. (software) constant pushing buttons.

Ask 2

I normaly work on the cnc with the 400 model and Vcarve and like it so I tought, maybe I can use both of two world.

Drawing in Vcarve is easy send it done.
the laser plugin in cnc drive software is also great. So maybe use that also but have already the AWC708.

So my first tought was a sort of switch to go between both.

If you have better idea please let me know. Im open for all suggestions.

Thx again
