Hi
I have a Uc300 usb and a hdbb2 break out board that I have been running for over a year now. I use uccnc software. I have recently had to change computers and install uccnc. I can't get the license to work just demo mode and no blue light on motion controller. Is the license somehow connected to the computer?

The license keys are not tied to the computer in any ways.

Check UCxxx_utility if it can see the UC300 (don't forget to press Scan :)). If not, check cabling, USB ports, their drivers etc.

Thanks for the replies. Have tried the utility xxx it can't find the device but yet I have a constant green light on the motion controller?

The green light means it is powered on. It lights even if operating system not started. The trouble is that the utility cannot find the controller. Check the things I wrote, check also device manager if there is the controller below USB hive. Check the USB port with a USB stick if it works. Check another cable. Until UC300 is not shown in the utility, UCCNC also won't find it.

The issue is probably that the USB drivers did not install or were disabled by Windows for some reason.
You can try to follow this document to resolve the issue: http://www.stepcraftsupport.com/wp-cont ... -mode1.pdf
