Hi New User Here

I am trying to use uccnc 1.2037 fresh install on a new pc to replace mach3 on a router from an aging dell parallel setup.
New PC is mini-ATX windows 7 64bit

I have the eth300 connected to BOB, with network setup correctly (blue light)

I am having trouble saving the pin out selection on uccnc in the configuration menu. I have created a new profile and made sure that it is not locked as read only but every time I change a pin number and click apply or save it resets top 0, even when changing the pin number, clicking enter and then apply, then save it still resets to 0 .

When I try an import the old profile, it brings across the speed data but all the pins are still locked a 0

I am sure it is a simple problem to be able to change the pins

You have to press the Enter keyboard key to validate the input to the DROs, otherwise if you just leave the DRO then the software will not accept the input value which is a safety feature.
You may disable this feature of the UCCNC on the Configuration/Appearance menu and untick the Validate textfields with enter key only.

Thanks for the quick reply, I've tried clicking enter after changing a single pin number, before clicking apply and it still reset to 0

Then you trying to set a port-pin number with an invalid direction, you trying to set an output pin to an input type function or an input pin to an output type function.
When you Apply or Save the settings the UCCNC verifies if the port-pin you set can be used for that setting and if it can't then it resets the value to 0 so you aware of the bad setting.

If you're trying to use Port 1, you probably need to use Port 2 or Port 3.

Hi Yes, Thats what I was doing, my mach3 setup used port 1 and i only just realised it was input only on port 1. So for anyone finding this thread used port 2 and make sure BOB is configured accordingly
