Automatic tool changer

Postby Peter B. » Wed Feb 12, 2025 1:06 am

Hi, I am brand new to CNCing and currently setting up a new Stepcraft M.1400 but I'm having an issue with the automatic tool changer.
When I run the offsets macro the spindle moves into the correct position over the tool length sensor, but instead of moving down, it moves upward past the soft limit and triggers a reset condition.
I had this working properly before, and went over all the changes I had made but I can't seem to find where I made an error.
Any advice/insight on this would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.

Although I've made 2 CNC Machines and I'm currently nearing the end of my 3rd DIY build I'm pretty useless with the electronics side, but this could be the "Active Low" tick box in the Z-Axis configuration tab in UCCNC or the Step/Dir wires for the Z-Axis are the wrong way round maybe..?

The tool change is done in the M6 macro, so please verify your M6 macro code.
