Two UC300ETH found and UCCNC not connecting

Hi,

I don't understand this issue. I bought a new laptop (HP Spectre) and installed the latest UCCNC software. I also copied in the license file, configured and it works, but when I start I always get this start up window with two UC300ETH (I only have one), instead of an automatic start.

I don't understand why and what to do about it. I want to get rid of one device and get an automatic start, just like I can do with my desktop. I even copied my desktop UCCNC installation to the laptop, and the exact same installation shows me two UC300ETH devices on the laptop, but only one on the desktop. I also disabled the WIFI connection, just in case that would help, but no, still two devices. I am totally out of ideas how to solve this and hope somebody can help me out. The installation and the configuration works if I click and select one of the devices. If I scan the network using the UCxxx_utility I can only see one device, so even that works right.

Which is the latest? (Dev or stable?) :)

When you have more network cards this happens. (I don't say that it's normal, but it works like this since the first Ethernet motion controller.) Put the serial number in the shortcut (/s nnnnnn) and you'll never see this again.

This is because there are 2 network routes between the PC and the UC300ETH.
It can happen if your network router has both wired and Wifi connection or if the routing table is modified in a weird way in the router.

And you can put the /s serialnumer in the target field of the shortcut icon and then the selection window will not showup anymore.

Excellent!

Sorry for not answering before, I was busy retiring from work... :P Now I have all the time in the world to play with UCCNC and other things the rest of my life after working for 50 years.

Thank you for the help. The /s SERIAL# solved it.
BTW, I meant the latest stable (official) release.
