Can't set pins for limit switches

Postby MeatGrowler » Wed Mar 22, 2023 4:53 pm

Hi All,

I'm just setting up everything to do some bench testing. I have 1 motor turning (Z axis) so far. I have also wired in a proximity sensor (NPN NC) using pin 12. The LED responds as it should, as does the software. The problem I'm having is when I come to assign the limit switch to the Z axis. When I fill in the boxes with pin 12, it keeps reverting back to empty boxes. Am I missing something?

Are you hitting enter after typing in the number?

I have just tried, but no joy.

They are all set to 0 to begin with, I change the pin to 12 and the port to 2. But as soon as I click apply or save settings they both jump back to 0.

What controller do you have. Is pin 12 port 2 an input or output?

Yes, we just changed the stickers, removed the I characters before the i/o numbers.
