Replacing Bad Controller Question

I have a CNCdrive UC300eth-5LPT controller for several years. Recently, I have lost all ethernet connectivity. I’ve diagnosed the laptop’s ethernet card and it’s working properly. I’ve checked and double checked the Ethernet Cable and it’s good. I’ve reset the UC300ETH several times and it doesn’t help. I’ve used the UCCNCxxx utility to no avail.

My next move is to buy a replacement UC300ETH-5LPT and install it. However, I’ve read that each UCCNC license is good for only one controller. So, if I buy a new UC300ETH-5LPT, I also have to buy a new software license??? Is that correct? If so, that’s incredibly poor customer support. So, I’m reaching out to ask for support getting my UCCNC software to work without having to pay for another license. What can you do to help?

Thanks Rob. That answers my question completely. I must have used the wrong words when searching the archives myself.
