The mystery of Output 8

I’ve just got a UC300 and UCSB breakout board and I’m just starting to setup/test/connect stuff.

In the UCSB, Output 8 is on with nothing more than power (24vdc) connected. When I connect the UC300, and set up some pins in axis config I can see the flicker on the step pin, and on/off with the one set as dir.

Output 8, though is non-responsive and basically just always stays on.

Thoughts, ideas or suggestions?

I still don't have a resolution for this problem. I've emailed a few times and posted here and haven't heard anything back.

O8 is always on. Even with only 24v applied.

When the UC300eth is hooked up It doesn't respond to any signals. (I can flip it's neighbors without any issue.)

Can someone help me out? I don't think there's firmware on the breakout board, or any kind of reset procedure but if there is please let me know. If not, I'd like a replacement board.

The order email address is troyollom@hotmail.com

This is a faulty board. With the ribbon cable not connected it should not have an active output.

That's what I think too. I'll keep emailing, maybe I'll get something back.
