Ok guys I have finally got uccnc running nice but am still having a few problems along the way. Next thing I am facing is this :-

If I go out to the garage and switch on the pc, load up uccnc -(it will do the firmware update thing) it loads up fine, but as soon as I either try to run some g code, or manually enter a speed in the MDI, I get nothing from the spindle ! All the axis work fine. I might also add that I am using the macro from "Dan911" to control my HY VFD.

I then exit uccnc, and load up Mach3, it also goes through the routine of "wrong firmware - replace current firmware" to which I agree. I then enter the same M code in the MDI and the spindle immediately fires up ! So nothing wrong there.

I then exit Mach3, load up uccnc again, it goes through the usual firmware update, loads up fine, and then when I enter an M code in the MDI, the spindle works no problem, and will also run any code I load up with no problems.

Sadly I am a bit of an electrical retard, so am stuck here scratching my head, any ideas would be gratefully appreciated.

My guess is that it's an issue with the macro, as that's what's controlling the spindle. Dan has now written a plugin. You might want to try that instead.

Oh, that sounds promising Gerry, could you tell me where I could find it please ?

It's for a Huanyang VFD.

Well, those Huanyang VFDs have a bad implementation of Modbus, the manufacturer failed to implement the modbus protocol correctly is why it does not work with modbus.
I'm not sure though about what they messed up and what is required to make them work, so unfortunately I'm afraid I can't help you with this.
Mach3 also talks modbus, but because these VFDs do not is why it required a separate plugin for these VFDs to work, because Mach3's modbus plugin also does not work with these VFDs.

I see that Gerry gave you a link to a cnczone forum where somebody built a plugin for this VFD, maybe it would be a good idea to ask him, hopefully he will know what the problem might be.

I have been speaking to "Dan911" over on cnczone, and he has made me a plugin that allows me to use uccnc with a Huanyang VFD. Works a treat So for anyone who is using a Huanyang VFD on a geared head (max 2500rpm) mill, Dan is the man to talk to.

Hey everybody,

i dont mean to hijack this thread but i've come across a weird problem with the plugin.

For some weird reason it doesnt show up in the plugins list at all anymore after it caused uccnc to crash a couple of times.
I've been running uccnc with spindletalker for quite a while now which was fine, but at the end of the day an all in one solution is better of course.

Is there any sort of blacklist feature that uccnc has to ignore plugins that cause crashing because so far i havent found anything in the documentation.

Sadly that doesnt do the trick at aswell.
I have no idea what could cause this kind of issue.
The OS is win7 64bit, i never had any problems running uccnc though.
