Forum related support question

I just started a thread...

https://www.forum.cncdrive.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=3069

... and noticed that embedding video is no longer working. Is this a bug or a there is another way of embedding video now, compared to before? I checked some of my older threads as well, and the same there, the links seems to be dead and not expanding.

Does anyone know why?

It seems that I am not alone with this issue. I opened several other people's thread with video in it, and it seems that the are all blocked. Here is another example:

Perhaps it is connected to the language we use. This guy uses Belgian YouTube, I use Swedish. Could it be the cause?

No, the Youtube embedding doesn't work for me either in the US.
You used to be able to just paste the link and it would embed automatically.
I'd just paste the link in for now, better than nothing.

Thanks. So it's a global issue on this forum, not connected to the used W10 and YT language.

The advantage of being a global issue is that it may be easier to fix... or not... :)

I just noticed this broke the other day too... I assume it is a Youtube side change, they're probably figuring out how to get commercials in every embeded video... Thanks for starting this thread, at least I know it isn't just me with the problem.

Eric

I don't think it has to do with YouTube, More like a misinterpretation of the code. It works on other forums I am on, the only problem is this forum.

Also, embedding ads in the video is something you, the publisher of the video, decide about. It gives a tiny income to compensate for the huge work which is behind all those few minute clips. Of course, Google earns considerably more on every clip with ads in... :D
