I must be missing something but I am trying to set up machine, I have it all the way forward on y to the left on x and up on z. I can zero the axis but than when I look or click on machine coordinates it is at y 150 x -23 or something. On machine coordinates how do you zero it out, if i am on machine coordinates and try to zero the axis it won't go it will not zero. I just have only the motor drives , e stop hook up. If I try to enable soft limits the axis will only jog in one direction. This is with the axbb-e that also loses connection constantly but that is another problem. any help would be appreciated.

The machine coordinates can be changed only by homing the machine. If you don't have home sensors (you should) then leave the home pins zero, but set Write offset on homing and set Auto set. This way when you home the machine then it will not move but set the machine coordinates.

Remove the port and pin settings for the home switches and it will home in place.

Thank you Gerry and Dezsoe I got it to zero and than was able to get my sensors to work and it appears that my probe will work the biggest problem now is some times I have to start the software several times for it to hold the connection. When I first start it the link light lights but when it get to where it dings or sounds , it will drop the connection. Any ideas? Thank you again
