AXBBe stopping movement

I have a AXBB-e running with a Geckodrive G540 on port 3 -so ribbon cable direct to the gecko , been working fine for at least a year in this setup.

Today it keeps stopping with the drive error light on and the DRO still counting as if the job is still running.

I have put a spare G540 on and same issue - so not the G540
I have run it with and without charge pump to the G540 - no difference , gets atarted and then errors out.
1.2112
Any suggestions on where to look to diagnose the issue ? running V2.112

If there's an error light on the drive, then it's the drive.
Possibly a bad stepper cable?

If the drive errors out has to be a problem with the drive, it cannot be a problem with the UCCNC for several reasons.

Yes error on the drive BUT I swapped drives between machines and they both error on the axbbe machine not the UC300 machine -so cannot be the drives . Will swap ribbon cables next.

All right I have taken a good G540 and ribbon cable off a working machine , put them into the AXBB-e machine ( and put the components off the machine that is erroring into the other machine and it still works fine so 200% its not the G540 or ribbon cable ) and withing 3 mins of runtime it errors - red light come onto G540 and UCCNC says its still moving but its not. Have to turn off machine completely and restart and its all good again ?

Better rephrase that , its all good for 2 minsof runtime then it errors again . checked all my 5v ,12v,24v and 48 supplies - all good .

Does active low need to be set for the step for the G540 ? - looking for oddball problems now , checked my profile and all the pins are the same setting on my machine that is still working ok - other than ports different as its a uc300 machine.

Strange that its been fine for so long - I use it daily hours on end , and now it wont run properly - seems to error as the spindle starts to take a heavier cut ? Spindle cables are away from all the other wirng going direct from the spindle to the wall mounted VFD set above head height away from the rest of the machine.

Check your mechanics. Maybe, one of the axes sticks and the drive stops because overcurrent. UCCNC is not a closed loop system: it counts as if nothing happened. If you have an error output on the Gecko, you can connect it to an input and use Fault signals plugin to detect it and reset UCCNC if an error occures.
