disable limit switch

Postby BJB » Tue Dec 15, 2020 1:28 pm

Wonder if anyone can help me.
I have zeroed my cutter on the workpiece, but when i click on start cycle, because the piece is thick the spindle goes up on the "Z" and hits the limit switch. I need to know how to start the cycle if possible without the need for "Z" to go all the way up first.

Many thanks

Probably a setting in your CAM software.

Check your rapid z setting in the toolpath material setting box. If you have it set to high the z axis goes up till it's out of space looses steps and then does horrible things. Don't ask me how I found out !!

Yes, check the Z settings at the bottom of the Material Setup.
