Can't get UCCNC to work.

Postby metalhead » Mon Nov 16, 2020 3:41 pm

Hello everyone!

I've very recently purchased a secondhand ballscrew 3040 cnc router with a kress spindle.

I'm still deciding on what software to use, I'm strongly leaning towards uccnc over mach3 but I'm stuggling to even get any axis movement with the demo.

On mach3 I got the the machine homing and moving fairly quickly but I'm really breaking my head on what I'm doing wrong on uccnc.

So far I'm setting all the pins and ports the same as on the working mach3 trial but nothing...
I don't have a blue led on the uc100 but not sure if it is required.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

You need a license to actually control the machine with UCCNC. It won't work without one.
I think that most of here are former Mach3 users, because UCCNC is far superior.

Hi Gerry, indeed I've figured that part out while my post was in the verification queue. I've placed an order and am now eagerly awaiting a response. :-)

Silly how long I tried to get movement with the demo version...
