Analog IDC 16 pin numbering

Postby av8shunmeckaneck » Thu Sep 17, 2020 7:09 am

This is somewhat of a side note to my earlier post about UCSB single port BOB. I completely rewired the control cabinet since the BOB question which leads me to my question about the UC300ETH-5LPT analog port pin numbering.

I got an Amazon IDC16 breakout board to use one of the analog outs to control my new VFD speed. The UC300ETH-5LPT manual has the pins numbered from left to right. From what I've found on the interwebs, standard numbering is alternating top to bottom from left to right. This was quite frustrating when I wasn't getting the output I was expecting for the VFD. I was trying to use pins 2 and 6 per the UCCNC numbering. I ended up using pins 3 and 13 as numbered on the BOB to get an Analog 1 output.

Am I missing something or does UCCNC label them differently?

It is labeled as in the users manual.
The manual shows it on a drawing, so the numbering should be clear.

If other products labeling them differently then ofcourse it has to be taken into account when making the connections.
