Lathe threading with the UCCNC300ETH

New poster here and was wondering just at what stage the lathe part of the 300ETH was at ?
I have seen the video which I presume is with the UCCNC software ?

If the 300 ETH is controlled from the Mach 3 plug in will it still thread Ok and use a multi-line encoder ? Reason I ask is that both CSCMIO and K-Flop when using mach 3 pause at the end of a thread whilst the controller hands back to Mach for the G00 return move. This forces the machine to make a run off groove which is not acceptable for many jobs.

I am definitely interested in how lathe is going.

John,

Yes, that pause is a limitation of Mach3, I mean it is because how mach3 is written the controller has to resyncronise at that point.
The UC400ETH/300ETH can also not make that better with Mach3.

With the UCCNC there is no such pause.
However the UCCNC is not fully prepared for lathe work yet, I mean it can cut nice perfect threads,
but there are things which are yet missing for lathe work, like the constant surface speed control and we also do not have a lathe screenset yet.

Many thanks for the prompt reply. perhaps a sub forum later on when you have something for lathes ?
I'd certainly be willing to beta test a lathe version
