Friend of mine had problems with his control computer so I have sorted out a new computer for him, while the machine was down he ordered a uc100 & breakout board.
When the new bits arrive I will go & set it up for him.

Hoping to get a step ahead & have the computer all ready to go when the uc100 arrives I downloaded & installed mach3 to a windows 7 pro 32 bit desktop & also downloaded & ran the uccnc auto installer which seems to install ok but when I open mach3 I get a plugin DLL Defective message & then a UC100 V2_151.dll Defective Plugin found ignoring message. Have tried deleting & re installing the uccnc auto installer several times & also downloaded it a couple of times but always seem to get the same error, obviously it is something I am doing wrong

Did you plug the UC100 into the USB port of the computer after the installation?
Did Windows then say that the driver was installed in a bubble on the right bottom of the desktop?
If you open the device manager do your see the "UC100 motion controller" device under the USB devices section?

The reason for the defective plugin message is that something, one or more components missing from the computer to run the plugin.
It can be the .NET framework 2.0, however on Win 7. it is part of the OS and also without that the automatic installer would also not run, so it can't be missing.
The only other thing can be the USB drivers which are preinstalled by the automatic installer, however Windows only copying the dll library to the system32 directory making the drivers available for the device when you first plugging in the UC100 into the USB port and so then Windows attaching the drivers to the device and copying the drivers library.
So, please check the above...

OK thanks for taking the time to reply, the UC100 hasn't arrived yet, I was hoping to get a head start so pretty much everything was done before it arrived. Will sit back & just wait until my friend receives it :) Plug it in & all will be good I hope :)

I have the UC400 ETH myself & felt sure I had installed all the software/drivers while I was waiting for it to be delivered but maybe I didn't lol
