Cool, okay, Thanks.
Looks like I'll switch over A ad B then.

Now if I could only sort out the soft limits now I think I'd be set!

I have no limit switches enabled for the rotary, but I still can not enable soft limits as the machine says a limit is reached.

I'm currently running an AXBB-E, which technically is a different screen than you are using, but I can turn softlimits on with the machine outside of the softlimits.
Since you are getting a UCCNC error message when you try to turn on softlimits, it means the screen is working correctly.
Did you try doing a home all before trying to enable the softlimits? That's the only way you can home the B and C axes in the 2022 screenset. I'm hoping that homing might fix the issue?
Can you post a screenshot of the error message? And, are there any messages in the lower left status window?

Sorry, got busy with renos around the house... Now back to business :D

Uhm, okay, so I changed the ports and pins to switch A and B.

The rotary is now A and B is slaved with X.
X and B work as it should, but the rotary wont respond now?

The jog light, lights up when I try to move A, but the rotary does not move and the DRO does not indicate movement either.
(I never touched the wiring, just switched the ports and pins in software)
The rotary does power up and locks.
Going to check my wiring to make sure nothing happened there.
- On to more trouble shooting...

Okay, I'm stuck.
Can't seem to get the rotary axis going now.
I pulled all my driver wires and reset them, and finally put them in the proper places so all the ports/pins lines up with the manual again.

I installed a second copy of UCCNC and reconfigured everything to make sure it wasn't the screen set.
And everything is the same regardless of screen set.

Rotary locks up, but wont spin. The JOG LEDs light up, but no movement on DRO or the rotary axis.
- No issues with soft limits now.

Are you sure the step and direction wires aren't mixed up?

Is your jog speed set to 0?

Sry for the delay again... medical issues this time... sigh, feeling much better now so back at it!

Here is my settings and wiring.
Again, the A axis locks up but not turning. Verified the wiring again, but nothing obviously out of place(to me)
A axis is set at port 2, pins 8 and 9. (Tried swapping 8/9, but nothing changes)

Something I have noticed is when an axis moves, the LEDs on the UB1 will light up accordingly,
with the exception of the A axis (LEDs don't light up at all on the A when trying to jog)
Kinda telling me the ports/pins aren't right or the signal isn't getting though. (using Q and A for jogging the A axis)
Thoughts? Everything else is working as it should, including the soft limits.

Try moving the A axis with the MDI. Sounds like your hotkeys aren't working.

Thanks Gerry!

Okay the good news is nothing is fried and the A axis will turn again through the MDI (but ONLY with soft limits off)
Bad news is I still can not move the A axis with the hotkeys (Q and A) All other axis move manually just fine though.
(Still looking into that - No idea what changed, as I never touched any hotkey settings)

So soft limits are still giving me grief (But only for the A axis, of which all limit settings are at default 0)
With soft limits on, I can not move the A axis at all. Turning soft limits off, and A axis works as it should (but still not with any hotkeys)

Exact same thing happens in the stock UCCNC software as well.
(In the stock screen set, the soft limit LED indicator on the screen lights up red as soon as its turned on)
