UCxx device was not found

Postby chochanghyun » Sun Jan 23, 2022 7:42 am

"UCxx device was not found" Any solution to this message?
Even if I set ip to 10.10.10.10 and subnet 255.255.255.0 according to the manual, my PC still cannot find the card ip.

Maybe the card is broken?

You setup what to IP 10.10.10.10 ? The network card IP or the motion controller device IP?
The network card IP has to be 10.10.10.10 and the motion controller device IP has to be 10.10.10.11

Naturally, I set my PC's IP to 10.10.10.10.
I have reset UC300ETH-5LPT to factory and tried all possible means such as disabling the firewall,
but UCxxx_utility.exe still does not recognize UC300ETH-5LPT.
It seems that the information such as the IP address on the board is broken.

If so, is there any way to solve this?

Doing a reset on the UC300ETH puts the default IP address back to the UC300ETH, it is 10.10.10.11.
The utility tool sends broadcast messages to explore the UC300ETH.
This means that the device will receive these messages even if the IP address is set incorrectly.
The only case when it does not receive the message if there is an IP conflict of 2 devices on the same network, e.g. if the computer has the same IP address as the UC300ETH.

If the utility tool does not find the device then it can be that:
- The IP address of the UC300ETH and the computer is the same. (assuming you have direct cable connection to the computer.)
- The ethernet cable is broken.
- The ethernet cable has wrong pinout.
- The UC300ETH is broken.

I've got an AXBB-E with a similar issue. Device can't be found after regular use for two years and no issues connecting in the past (with nothing changed!). I've tried another computer, different ethernet cables etc.. 24v & ready light are on, with no fault on 5v either. I've tried the utility with all the above changes and not once has the blue link light flashed from the scan. Is there anything left to try?!

If your computer network card is working and your ethernet cable is OK and if the utility tool does not find the device after doing a reset on it then your controller has somekind of defect.
Then the only thing you can do is sending it to us for checkup and possible repair.

Thank you. How do I go about sending it in for checkup and possible repair? Do I need to contact my re-seller as well?
