I am still running mach3 using a uc400eth controller, to be honest I have never had a problem with mach3 which is why I am still using it but have read that it is possible to decrease machining times with some of the functions a more up to date control system has & that is never a bad thing
Just wondering what would be a good starting point for tuning a machine when it comes to things like CV settings & look ahead, look ahead in particular because from some of the stuff I have watched they say there is a loss of accuracy if the look ahead is set high & the default is 300 lines. I know not to believe a lot of what I see on places like youtube though so that could be complete rubbish
Other thing is the use of additional hardware that was purchased to run under mach3, I have a Chinese spindle/vfd, a wireless pendant (HB04 I think) & a wireless tool height setter (DT02) which I would like to be able to continue using. Are there plugins available for these that people are using without problems ?
Is there a way to use a profile other than the default profile without having a short cut on the desktop ? If there is but it involves writing code then that isn't something I would be comfortable doing.
