I know UCCNC has been through many updates since...

IDK others, but I'm in the middle of related stuff
mainly, I tried to convert my previous ATC management scripts, made for Mach3 and MachStdMill screenset
you can check my previous approach here: https://github.com/Haimana/MSM_ATC

so, for UCCNC should be something similar

atc1.PNG
populating tools into slots

atc2.PNG
setup side

unfortunately I still have a lot of work to do and a lot to discover inside UCCNC

I, for one, decided to remove UCCNC from my Haas mill and installed Linuxcnc with Probe Basic. I chose this because of the ATC support.

Cool and nice idea, I had something similar copied from "Battwell".

However as a macro and with screen changes.

Your solution or approach looks a lot better than mine :D

Do you want to do the whole thing as a plugin?? And can everyone use it?

Hello, and thank you!
Will not be a plugin
Will be, at least for now, a collection of macros and the modified Default2019 screenset.

The preAlpha release is already on GitHub:

https://github.com/Haimana/HTM_ATC
Unfortunately not a single line of documentation right now, so if you want to test you have to figure yourself how to do it.
I'm traveling now so I'm brief but tomorrow I can give more details.
Best regards,
Seb

Thank you. I looked at it again today, perhaps the consideration for the settings would be a kind of "pneumatic rack" i.e. an output and possibly sensors (inside / outside).

This is what my magazine would look like.

Everything looked good when I was playing around. (Is it possible to switch off the debug mode (texts) later?

Yes, the debug will have an option for on/off.
The rack is not pneumatic. The drawbar of the spindle is pneumatic. But my ATC spindle doesn't have internal sensors.
I also tested some other spindles with internal sensors but I was not pleased. The sensors reported only the drawbar status, not if the tool was properly clamped or not. Maybe it was a cheap spindle, don't remember the model.
This is why I placed the slot's sensors. Not perfect solution but good enough. Much better than nothing, IMHO.
Also, the "sensors" will have an on/off option and also a "bypass" option, if some wrong status reported.

See my "milled and printed" rack. It works in "Side-Load / Side-Unload" mode. But the macro it can be used even for vertical load/unload racks. Few more lines of code and should work with rotary systems, too.

The dark blue are the 2-parts forks, 3d printed. From time to time are broken. See "Slot 5" with broken fork. That's the reason for the "Disable slot" option.
The light blue parts are the inductive sensors, placed and adjusted to detect when the tool is inside fork.

Unfortunately no time for documentation right now but it seems you got it work. Good job. :)
The good new is it should be ready in less than 2 weeks from now.

I'm wondering if I should start a new thread for this

Best regards,
Seb

So, I've been trying to adapt the whole thing for myself for the last two days. Things are going so far, but there is still a lot to be done.

But I saw that you continue to work diligently and have made some good changes :D

What I did first is translate the texts/descriptions into English. (Translator tool, but also copy/past work).

I also adjusted the screen a bit for myself, but I like the new changes ;) *NeverEndingStory*

Unfortunately I also get an error message when I use the newer version when loading the M99998 macro
