Homing issue on Z axis

Postby Mathieu 33 » Thu Oct 31, 2024 10:52 pm

Hello,

I use AXBB E card. During the homing sequence, the axis X and Y stop when contact with NPN sensors. And go back according to my homing back off units settings.
For the Z axis, it doesn’t works, even if the sensor is triggered, the Z motor still continues to turns and the sensor give hard limits alarm. The motor never turn back.
For information, on the Z axis, I have to set “ dir. positive” if not, the Z goes only in positiv way, if I switch off the “ dir. positive, when the sensor is triggered, that works, it stop ans turns back.

Strange …

Make sure that your home input polarity is configured correctly.
Check the diagnostics page and make sure that the home input for the axis is off (virtual LED is off in the diagnostics when the axis is off the sensor).
If it is in reverse can cause such problem what you described.
Also make sure the homing direction is proper and if you configured back off distance make sure that you wrote the value with the proper +/- sign depending on the direction of the homing.
