V-Carving Problem

Postby alen444 » Mon Sep 16, 2024 5:16 pm

Problem with V-carving toolpath. In the final pass,it seems that the bit doesnt "connect",and creates ridge. I tried diffrent feeds and speeds, plunge rate etc,but no luck.
Using AXBB-E and UCCNC 1.2113,and i also tried using Mach3 with plugin, but result is the same. When i tried the same code on another machine running Mach3,cut cames perfect.
Code is generated with Vectric Aspire, with Mach3 Arch mm PP.

To answer myself, problem was in my z axis flex, not the software.
Can you give me a tip,how to move z axis height during g-code cycle?
For example, when I do v-carving, I want to move the z axis lower for 0.1 or 0.2mm,during work or during feed hold, and jog tab is disabled during cycle...

You can do a cycle stop, it gives you a controlled stop with all axes deccelerating on the motion path using the setup velocity parameter.
Then you can do what you want adjust the Z axis DRO value as nessessary and then press the run from here button and then Cycle start.
This will give you an initial movement window and an option to start the spindle motor etc.
