Enabel MPG Movement

Postby Davide_Mirra » Mon May 03, 2021 3:45 pm

Hello
I am new here. I don't even know if this is where I should ask this question.
I have a UC300ETH-5LPT card and I am putting a pendant to work, the selection of the axis to be moved is working as well as the selection of the increment.
Here is the configuration of my inputs.

MPG_Config_1.jpg

MPG_Config_2.jpg

Everything is working as desired, but I want to do one more thing. My pendant also has a button for enabel movement.
How can I make my selected axis only move when I have this button pressed?
That is, if I move the MPG wheel and the button is pressed, the selected axis will move. If I move the MPG wheel and the button is not pressed, the selected axis will not move.
Can anyone help me?
thank you in advance.

Use 2 more triggers with the same pin for enable. Set one of them to active low. Set one for function 226 to select MPG jogging and the other to 161 to select keyboard jogging.

Thank you very much ️dezsoe for the help.
Only now did I have the opportunity to test your suggestion because I was out of the country.
Whenever I press the button the function "MPG Cont." is active and whenever the button is relesed, the "Continous" function is active.
The idea is good but it has a problem.
Imagine that I want the "MPG Single" function. I have to press the button, select "MPG Single" and execute the movement through the MPG wheel. If the button is relesed and pressed again, I have to select the function "MPG Single" again because the one that is active is "MPG Cont."
This can cause a collision if I forget to activate the "MPG Single" function.
I think that the solution to my problem should be to create two macros. One that will run when the button is pressed and the other when the button is relesed.
With the macros I will select the function I want but I have to memorize the selected function beforehand so that whenever I press or relesed the button I keep the state of the previous function.
I don't know if I was able to expose my idea. I don't even know if it's possible to do this with a macro.
If anyone has an idea or solution I would appreciate it.
Thanks
