UCCNC ignores limit switches during homing

Postby Cruiser1 » Sun Feb 14, 2021 4:25 pm

Hello
I use a AXBB-E and latest UCCNC Software and everything runs well but:
During homing it is posible that axis is moves in the wrong direction ( away from home sensor) and therefor I have Limit switches on all axis, all on Port2 Pin one.
But the Limit switches are ignored during homing process, in all other situations they do what they should.
In diagnostic screen I can see the switch working, (all axis limit buttons light up ) but no reaction from the SW. I am using proxymetrie sensors for homing and normal switches for limit.
And during work or jogging the limit switches work fine...
So were to set a hook in the software ?

Thank you very much
Michael

The UCCNC only ignores the limit switches which are configured on the same pin as the homing pin.
This is nessessary otherwise it would be impossible to home the axis, because it would trigger the limit instead of homing it when the switch activates.
So, the limit function is inhibited only while the homing of the axis is in progress and the limit function is reactivated when the homing finishes.

Ofcourse it is not possible to change this behaviour, because then it would be impossible to home the axis.

A solution could be to connect and configure the other side limit switch to a differt pin than the home pin.

Thank you for the answer.
Well my Limit switches are all on pin 1 port 2
Home Proxy Sensors on pin 3,4,5 port 2....
So i will stay with my workarround...
