Axes don't move (UCCNC and UC300ETH set up)

Postby oraclian » Fri Jan 29, 2021 3:45 am

Using UCCNC with UC300ETH-5LPT.... Installation seemed to go fine, PC connection ok, all LEDs doing as they should. when I Jog router or load and run a program all the axis DROs change as expected and output leds all light appropriately but NO motion of axes. Checked all voltages, they are as they should be. When I hook up a test axis to my previous grbl/arduino system the axis moves fine so no mechanical problem. have tried various combinations of low high triggering, other changes that might be relevant,( reversing each if they didnt improve matters ). There is nothing else configured in UCCNC except for the 3 axes so conflicts with other settings seem unlikely. I am running out of ideas. Do you have any suggestions?

Make sure you are using Port 2 or Port 3.

I had a similar problem yesterday. It turned out to be because of my new drives couldn't handle 400khz kernal speed so i had to decrease it to 100khz.

thanks for the ideas . I am using port2. I checked and my (soon to be replaced) drivers (6560) suggest 25Khz for the kernel speed so I set the config to that. unfortunately no change in the problem.

The axes are set in config to be enabled but the diagnostic screen doesnt show red on the axis enabled spot...should this change during a move ? seems like it should. In the axis config I havent got a pin designated for axis enable since I dont know what to put there. (I am assuming that the enable pin is designated as say an Estop output and isnt needed to get the thing running in the first place but perhaps i misunderstand).
