Can't get it move smoothly

Postby kim@moltved.dk » Mon Dec 04, 2017 7:57 pm

I can't get it move smoothly, it make a short stop/slowdown at every point even if it is 2 lines running in same direction. I have try on 1.2037 and 1.2047 and the problem is the same. My machine is a sorotec AL1107. I use the UC300ETH for control connected using. I have try a lot of setting with out any reaction. I use Constant velocity mode, and G64 is on. I run fast on my machine 5000 mm/min. If i run slow you can see it but then it not is a problem.

CV setting:
Stop angle 89
Look ahead: 300
Lineary error: 0.1
Lineary add: 1
Linear unify: 2
Cornor err: 0.1
Arc rad: 0.1

I have try a lot of change of this settings with no reaction to the stop.

Post at least one simple example code. Post your profile file.

You can try a much higher unify length and addition length, because your toolpath is relatively large and there are some long vectors, try something like a few hundred millimeters for these 2 parameters.
Also please note that there are several small to the side movements on this path, so with low tolerances your axis has to deccelerate to change the movement vector,
it is physically not possible to follow a direction change without slowing down I think it has to be clear.
You could make it smoother also with making the tolerances, the linear error and the corner error higher, but the problem is that then you will loose details of the drawing and it will become visible if they are too high, I mean without loosing details of the path, those small sharp movements directions you can't do that without not making the movement that sharp (higher tolerance) or the machine has to deccelerate there, there is no third option, the limit is the physics.

Your right it is the way the g-code is generated.
