broken soft limit in 1.2022

Postby Ivan Ionov » Wed Sep 21, 2016 9:33 am

Hello,

I tried to install 1.2022 over 1.2021 and found a bug -

My Y axis has soft limits 0...420mm, homing and limit sensor is at 420mm position (homing offset is 420)
After homing this axis (machine Y is set to 420), I can't move it in -Y direction (soft limit error appears), but soft limit allowed me to move to +Y (toward the limit switch).

X and Z axes limits worked correctly, X home switch at negative limit (0), Z home switch at positive limit - both work correctly, only Y had issue.

I use my custom profile file, which is not overriden by new version.

Reinstalled 1.2021 and it works fine.

Hi,

Can you please help us and check if the issue is still there after you press the Apply settings button?

I've checked this problem in 1.2024 version.

Works a bit better, but bug still exists.

Here are my steps -

I start software, go home all axes (X to 0, Y to +420, Z to +170 ).
I check manually software limits X (soft limits are 0..+600) - fine , Z (0..+170) - fine,

Y(0..+420) - incorrect, -Y motion goes to 17 and stops (instead of 0), +Y motion goes beyond +420 software limit and hits limit switch.

I go to settings, press Apply - Y limits work correctly.

I close software, restart it again, do homing - problem on Y axis appears again.

Hi Ivan,

Thanks for reporting the issue, we will look into the problem asap.
Meanwhile could you please post your profile (.pro file) here in the forum?
That could probably help us to reproduce the issue easier.
