UCCNC crashes on certain gcode file loading (mach3 is ok)

I have recently installed a UC300ETH-5LPT and UCCNC 1.2111 and when loading certain gcodes the software crashes (does so with 100% repeatability on these files) but does not crash on mach 3. The file is ~4mb, 147k lines, 2mm bit, 30 small repeated parts in an area of ~400mm x 200 mm, not 3D.

If I reduce smoothing, optimisation and the number of the parts down to 24 parts (84k lines) then it loads and cuts but the uccnc interface is very laggy and slow, including axis movement which makes it difficult to use. CPU shows ~55%.

I want to change more of our machines over from mach3 to UCCNC, but these types of files are not uncommon for me.

Any ideas? what slows the UCCNC interface and jog movements down, is it number of lines or something else?

I don't suppose it is any help but your 'Test file crashes' runs OK here (in Demo mode).

Tweakie.

If it's any consolation the Test File Crashes.tap runs on my system. V1.2113 UC300ETH-UB1.

What version are you using? Also what Post processor?

Yes, probably a video card issue.

one thing that you could do with mach3 that you cannot do with uccnc is you had the ability to turn off the toolpath so if your graphics card was underrated you could get around this sometimes

Hi Rob,

No, you can do it with UCCNC too, we have added that option some versions back...
