Still skipping tapped holes

Postby Derek » Fri Feb 23, 2018 1:08 am

I was hoping the latest version had fixed this but it is still there. If it happens it always happens after this move or a nearly identical move. It is always at the end of a run at the X0.0 end. It is always the first hole after the rotation.

Here is a snip of the code with the clearance macro and the hole that it skipped.

Code: Select all
N3882 G00 Z2.3646
N3883 G00 Z3.1945
N3884 M53
N3885 G00A185.

N3887 G00A180.
N3888 (tap 8/32 rotate 180)
N3889 M08
N3890 G00 Z5.0832
N3891 X0.6022 Y-1.4752
N3892 G00 Z4.7148
N3893  X0.6022 Y-1.4752
N3894G33.1 Z4.0123 K0.03125
N3895M03
N3896G80

I'm also attaching the M53 macro.

Thanks
Derek

Hi Derek,

Before releasing the latest test version my collegue found something in the API code which he thought that it could possibly cause this issue which you previously reported, so he changed that in the code to avoid it happening.
But we have never been able to reproduce this issue here.
I ran your code 50 times now and it always did the tapping on my computer, so still no joy reproducing the issue here. :(

BTW, which controller you using now? And you running the 1.2102 UCCNC?

Hi again Derek,

I have just talked to my collegue about this issue and he said he made the mentioned code change/fix only for the ethernet controllers yet, so the question is what controller are you using?
The same change will be done for the USB controllers only in the next release.
Please let me know which controller did you use, because that could give us some info about if the code change did not fix it if you using an ethernet controller or if it was just not fixed yet if you using a USB controller.

Hi Balazs.

It's a UC-300 USB so that explains it.

Thanks

Yes, that explains it, because the UC100 and UC300USB controllers do not have this fix yet, but will have very soon in the next release, so then you can test it.

Just released version 1.2103. My collegue managed to put the rigid tapping code fix for the USB controllers into it. Please test it.
