Bugs in 1.2117

Postby Ruslan » Wed Dec 04, 2024 2:05 pm

Hi. Started to use 1.2117 version because it has many updates. Used 1.2115 befor it. So I discovered that 1.2117 version has slow reaction to spindle on/off (4-6 seconds). I am using modbus communication. In 2115 it worked good. One more interesting thing: zoomming out in 3D window makes scrolling in program window. In 2115 version on screen keyboard (when was activated in plugins list) appeared only when I wanted to enter numbers in screen textfields and it didn't appeared during program editing. Now it appeares also during program editing. I discovered that onsccreen keyboard plugin was updated to new version.

In 1.2117 spindle acceleration works differently, now you have to set the time for the acceleration, so you probably need to adjust the spindle acceleration parameter.
This "zoomming out in 3D window makes scrolling in program window" I can't understand, please explain what to look for and how to exactly reproduce it.

Yes, I think there was a few changes made in OSK, I will check the update notes...

When mouse cursor is in 3D view area and when you zoom out by scrolling mouse wheel the g-code program is also scrolling through lines. It is not so big bug but I think that it is wrong action.

I have just checked and the toolpath zoom is only scrolling the g-code viewer if they are on top of eachother.
I mean if the mouse pointer is on both the toolpath view and the g-code view then it is really scrolling both.
I'm not sure if this is a problem at all?!

Please make G91 a modal code already. If you want to follow the standards you must do it. And something wrong with spindle start/stop. I wrote already that it takes about 7 seconds to stop the spindle after pressing screen button. None of settings can't resolve this.

I am also experiencing a slow reaction to spindle commands via modbus. Not only on and off but also speed changes.

This not a slow ramp up or down. But a delay in acting on changes. Not 7 seconds but very noticeable.

However I am on 1.2113 the official release.

Can't remember exactly when it started happening but it used to be instant and now it is not.

Spindle acceleration parameter was changed in this version, you need to adjust that parameter.

Cycle stops after S18000M03. Takes 7 seconds to stop spindle after STOP cycle. I am using RS-485 and HYPLUGIN14.dll for spindle activation and RPM. I can move the axis around the table with UCR201 and keyboard input. I have run 1.2113 and 1.2115 with existing setup. I tried 1.2117 because I touch probe was going past z 0 on occasion in 1.2115. My profile attached. The touch plate macro worked without issue using John Revill macro in M31. Home all axis and parking macros worked without issue. 1240 x 740 cnc router with slaved A axis
