Bare with me, this will be lengthy

Short version
Just purchased a UC100 to replace an old LPT computer converting over to a Windows 10 Home edition laptop.
Followed all instructions, rebooting after installing drivers, Mach3 etc.
Followed this exactly... http://www.szentkereszty.net/uc100/
UC100 shows up in device manager
Green light on UC100, no other light
After installing the drivers, rebooting and starting Mach3 it doesn't recognize the UC100 and I never get the option to select it.

Long version
I have a CNC plasma machine running Windows 10 Home editions, UC100/Mach3 system and it works perfectly.
I took this laptop and UC100 and connected to the machine I'm trying to get running and the machine works.
I was going to connect my new UC100 to the working laptop but it wants to update to the newer UC100.
I don't want to do that because I'm afraid once I update to the newer version my old UC100 will no longer work on my plasma machine.

I'm about to the point I'd pay someone to come fix it.

Please lead me in the direction I can't seem to find.

The USB drivers belong to the computer, it does not update anything on the UC100.
But if you followed the mentioned web link then it should work on your laptop.
Does the UCx00 utility tool sees your UC100?

I can roll my currently working laptop around to both the plasma and router. I was going to use the same laptop with both machines running 2 different UC100's
When I plug the working laptop into my newer UC100 it says something about updating to the newer UC100.
If I allow it to upgrade, I'm wondering if the laptop will still operate the older UC100

I did exactly what it showed me to do. I agree whole heartedly but it doesn't work.

Not sure what this is.

I may be completely in the wrong forum.
My UC100 is plugged into a G540

Go into the Mach3/Plugins/CNCdrive_util folder and you will see the UCx00 utility tool in there.
If it shows the serial number of your UC100 means that the USB drivers are installed properly and the UC100 can communicate with the computer without problems.

Deleted everything and started from scratch.
Followed all instructions exactly again.
Found UCx00 in Mach3 Plugins folder.
It found my serial number!!!
Green and blue lights are on UC100
DRO's move when I use the arrow keys in Mach but still no movement on the machine itself.

I may have to move over the the Mach forum but before Mach3 loads, there are a series of error messages about hex something or other. See below.

Any help?

Even with the error messages I have movement!

I should be able to take it from here.

Thank you cncdrive for you assistance.

The error messages are because you using a cracked Mach3 license key, use a valid license key to not get these errors.

And if the blue LED stays on when Mach3 is running then the UC100 is up and communicating with Mach3 without problems, so then it should be fine.

The mentioned error messages can be a problem, because Mach3 might not be able to save some settings to the profile file and so that could become a problem for you.
Using a valid Mach3 license key file solves this problem.

Got ya. I got this version of Mach3 10 years ago when I purchased my steppers.

Got the license from Newfangled Solutions, uninstalled cracked version, installed newest Mach3 with proper license, all error messaged went away. Everything's working properly. Testing it with a 3D file from Vectric. 1.5 hours into the carve and everything's working perfectly.

Thanks again.
