Axbb-e motor hookup question

Hi,
This will be my first attempt to use the Axbb-e setup with Mach3. I have used several instances of the Ess smooth stepper with cncdrives dc servo units with good results.Anyway after loading plugin and powering up the unit,I see that everything is communicating nicely.My question is what are the pin number setups for Mach's ports and pins. I am using x,y,z,a axis's. The diagram in the manual showsO09 to O16 on the drives themselves, but what do I setup Mach3 to correlate to?
I don't consider myself a noob with Mach,just with the AXBB-E at the moment. Thanks for your help,Dave

Ihave about a dozen machines at work I have used the yellow DC drives with with grat success. I love them

The inputs and outputs are labeled by their pin #. O9 is pin 9, O10 is pin 10, .... The port numbers (as well as the pin #s) are printed right on the AXBB-E cover.

I see that, but I am wondering does Mach know through the plugin where to send signals to the AXBB or do I need to still assign pins in Mach ports and pins setup.
By the way, I have purchased your 2010 screenset for my home mill(2 licences)I love it

You need to enter the port and pin numbers in the Ports and Pins pages in Mach3, as Mach3 has no way of knowing what you are wiring to each pin.

I guess my confusion stems from the facr that normally Mach port1 pin 10 would be an input, not the case with this plugin arrangement, the way the ESS gives the option for ports 2 and 3.

The design of the AXBB-E dictates which pins are inputs and outputs, and has nothing to do with a parallel port.

Yes, the plugin dictates the AXBB-E pinout, it can be anything in MAch3, there is not restriction to "must have" the same pinout as an LPT port, the plugin can do any pinout and ofcourse the AXBB-E plugin uses the pinout of the AXBB-E which is printed on the AXBB-E top cover.
