UC300ETH MPG speed select

I am trying to get the 1x 10x 100x to work with the velocity of of an MPG on a uc300 in mach3
I have set in hot keys triggers 1 2 3
I have tried associating jog increment 191 192 193, and also tried step value 265 266 267 and it makes no difference at the wheel
The port monitor is showing the pins are changing at the selection via a rotary switch on the pendant.
and the axis change rotary switch is working.
Any Ideas??
