While UCCNC does not currently have a TURN Modual Here is the place to discuss your wants and wishes for TURN

Software gets released when it's finished, not sooner. Every time someone asks when it will be released, it adds a 3 month delay.

We still working on the final testings and minor fixings in the new screen elements. Unfortunately it takes more time then I expected...

uccnc is already cheap or cost effective, which is the other one you want?

Well yes, it is hard to supply all 3 options the same time.
Our priority is really on good and cost effective and trying to achive them as fast as possible, but these new functions especially the lathe functions are not easy to implement.
It is not coincident that most hobby CNC softwares do not even support the G95 (spindle speed based feedrate) and G96 (Constant surface speed) codes or if they do then they cannot even work together.
The UCCNC will even support close to realtime control of both using encoder feedback from the spindle motor.
It will also support the mentiond codes udsing the programmed spindle speed values if no spindle encoder or index sensor is attached.
So, we trying to do it fast, but it is more important for us to make these functions full featured.
And basically all lathe functions are already implemented, but testing and minor issue fixings are still ongoing,

Hello!

The last message sounded like UCCNC Turn was getting very close, any release date updates?

Has anyone heard of any progress since November last years comprehensive "good, cheap , fast" project feedback report ?
I can only imagine it will be top of the range GOOD and outrageously CHEAP, lol.
Best regards,

We still final testing the coming up release.
If everything will go well then we will represent the lathe functions on the HobbyCNC trade in Hungary, will bring our small lathe to show and demonstrate the new lathe functions and after that will release the new version.
This is ofcourse the best scenario, because we still final testing the functions and yet only hoping to finish in time for the trade.
But anyways the new release should be out in a few weeks.

A little tease for you guys about the UCCNC lathe.
The video is short and the final product is a chess figure.
The UCCNC controls in G95 spindle speed controlled feedrate mode and G96 constant surface speed mode.
