Is it possible to steer one of the axis tangentially from x and y axis? This would be great for a knife type operation. I don't know if this could be a macro type of operation or not. Thanks again for a great product!!!

Sheetcam has a drag knife module that can be purchased.

Currently there is no automatic XY plane tangential vector control in the UCCNC.
You can tangential control a knife only using g-code and for that you need a CAM software which supports outputting the tangent angles into the g-code file, e.g. with programming the A-axis movements as the tangential knife angle.

moto..
another option: nicknamed a "post post". reads a gcode file and adds the c axis degrees for the tangential. This can be done in any spreadsheet program.
