AXBB-E connection wuth UCCNC

I have succsessully installed a AXBB-E to UCCNC on my laptop. However i have one issue.

When connecting the 5V input to the computer USB (and the ethernet calble) it works fine.

If I supply the 5V from another source the connection is lost after a short while...So the question is if it is possible to feed the 5V form something other than the USB port on the computer?

Yes feed a 5 volt from a good stable source with the specified current to supply the AXBB-E. Your laptop will be limited on the current output it can supply via USB.

If the connection is lost it is because the 5Volts power source you using is not stable.
Make sure to use a good stabilized powersupply with constant 5Volts voltage with good noise filtering on the mains lines.
