Hi. On my Chinese 3ax router machine coordinates and current coordinates are different. How can I make in same? Just I don't see any option of that. Program said: A machine axis position software limit was reached.
Thanks.

Hi

as i understand it software limits are not required if you have limit switches

and machine co and work co are always different unless you zero them when you are at the home position the idea is you can then set 0 xyz where you want to work

hope that helps andrew

Go to the offsets page and set the offsets to zero, and then they'll match.

Softlimits use machine coordinates, so you need to be able to home your machine to a repeatable position.

I use X and Y machine coordinates for almost everything I do, and just change the Z axis to suit the project.
It's the way most industrial routers work, with pop up locating pins to locate your part on the table.

I meant to reply to this, but forgot...

Interesting(;-) TP

Correct. Everything is programmed to be placed on the machine at the machine coordinate origin, or to use machine coordinates. On the big industrial routers I've used, you don't even have to zero the Z axis, as the parts are placed on the spoilboard, and the g-code contains the part thickness.

You never use Work offsets ?? I do not know of any Job shops that do it that way not saying it is not done.

At work never. At home, maybe 1% of the time.
Cabinet shop, not a job shop. ;)
