Probe did not touch! Errors

Postby Steamer » Wed Aug 31, 2022 7:14 pm

Hello,

I'm getting a lot of erratic 'Probe did not touch!' errors while using the probing functions.
Sometimes the probe routine (Circle Inner) starts, but mostly not, and errors out with the 'Probe did not touch!' error.
When it does start, the second or third probing position errors out with the same error.

My setup is as follows:

Probe 1 is a touch plate, active high.
Probe 2 is an 3d touch probe, active low.

Could the active low/active high part of the probes be the cause of the troubles? The diag screen shows the probe as stable off.

Greetings,
Emile

Your probing distance parameters are less than the length you are trying to probe.

using the latest 115 version? there was a bug in 114 and first release of 115 that caused this.

Hello Karnage,

I have the correct distances entered, and most of the time it doesn't even start moving, and errors out immediatly.

Hello Battwell,

I've got the 115 release, but I'm not shure if it's the first or second release, I'll try updating it.

Hello Battwell,

Updating to the 115 probefix version fixes the problem for me, thanks for the tip.

It would have been better if they just called it version 116, and released it in the normal test releases thread.
