We have movement!

Spent the day wiring the enclosure. Managed to get all axis moving. I have to say that the software is very easy to configure.
One thing that tripped me up was not knowing I had to hit enter after typing in a new value for Velocity or Acceleration. Not sure I recall reading that in the manual.

A couple of questions:
1) looks like my X axis maxes out at 28500 for velocity. Is this a limitation of my steppers and 36v power supply?
2) If I increase the the Jog Feed % from 10% to 20% my Y and slaved A axis are no longer synced. I searched the manual and couldn't find out the purpose of Jog Feed % or why it would move the axis differently. What is Jog Feed% supposed to do?

1. What do you mean by "maxes out"? The axis cannot run faster or you cannot set higher velocity?
2. You probably have some mechanical or electronic problem. Jogging slaved axes should not loose sync.

If I try to set the velocity to 30,000, when I try to save it changes back to 28,500. It's not terribly critical as my machine is not capable of running that fast.
As it turns out one motor shaft coupler was a bit loose so on quick acceleration it just spun instead of moving the axis giving the impression that they were out of sync.
Tightened up I can jog at 100% speed no problem.

Ok, so it was mechanical.

The maximum velocity is limited by the steps/unit and the kernel frequency parameters. If you have too many steps/unit and too many units/min (velocity) then it should pulse faster than the kernel frequency which is impossible. However, if you set too high kernel frequency then your motor driver may fail. Check the motor drivers manual for max. pulse frequency. (And count down to 80-90% if it's made in China... I'm not joking: most drivers that have 200 kHz written in the manual will not work or will not work stable on 200 kHz.)
