Pokeys57E with Handwheel encoder

I have been trying the pokeys57E board, going to try and make a control panel. I can control switches in UCCNC. I'm stuck on the hand-wheel encoder. i can get the values in the modbus variables table, but don't know what to do with them to get it to work. I know I need some type of macro, but don't know which fields to update. can someone point me in the right direction ?. I've googled and searched can't find anything to get me started. Any input would be great. Thanks
