Migrating from mach3

I am thinking of migrating from Mach3 to UCCNC.

The current setup is:
Mach3
2.2KW spindle.
DM860A controllers
KK01 interface board (from cnc4you.co.uk)
34Nema motors.
Vcarve software from Aspire.

Replacing with:
AXBB-E
UCCNC

Has anyone done something similar? I have a few questions:

1. I currently have 5 inputs. 4xNPN limit switches and 1x height probe. How many inputs does the AXBB have?

2. Is there any information on how to configure and use the laser output? I have just ordered a 30W laser from Ali express and need to get it connected and burning.

I have more questions but these will do for now.

Thanks.

I think that most of us here have swithced from Mach3.
The AXBB-E has 6 inputs, but it also has an expansion port you can plug your KK-01 into.
Not sure on the laser.

Does the AXBB-E completely replace the KK-01 board? i.e. if I don't need any more expansion ports then KK-01 can get binned?

Yes, the AXBB-E can replace the KK-01, except that the KK-01 has an onboard relay and the AXBB-E does not, so you will have to use an external relay if you used that relay with the KK-01.

Is there any more information on the Laser module? Ive read through the user manual but it is not very detailed at all.
http://www.cncdrive.com/UCCNC/UCCNC_usersmanual.pdf

How do I connect, wire, and configure a new laser module to AXBB-E?
How do I control the power of the laser for different areas of the picture?
What is the best alternative software to use? Lightburn? Aspire? Something else?
Do I need to go through so many clicks to get to the laser plugin or can I create a screen that is easy to get to?
